I think it's the 1800s in England. It's about a mean and unhappy man who either buys or takes over a factory of some type. The factory has something to do with an old man who has either died or handed over the factory to the mean man. The mean man eventually falls in love with the old man's plain daughter. Both the mean man and the daughter are brunette. And the mean man looks somewhat like the actor Mark Strong.
