Its a film or tv series about the life of a girl. She is being raped by the oldest son of a family with a castle and becomes pregnant. She marries a sturdy man who is paid by the son. This man dies and she finds his money in the attic. She gives her child to two ladies. She then goes to a town at the sea and lives with her handicapped sister and her brother. After some time she meets a sea captain from Norway. This captain gives her a house and she becomes after a period a owner of more and more houses. In some way a grandchild comes to her from the US and meet her favourite niece at her place who he wants to marry against the will of the then old lady. Finally she dies in the second world war in a bombardment.
