I'm looking for an old movie set in France. I can't remember clearly but a woman has a daughter whose name is Francois. She falls in love with a man who has to leave but tells her priest he'll be back. The priest doesn't deliver the message to the woman so she marries another man. Her daughter kills her husband in a stable, the woman takes the blame. Her priest keeps begging her to confess but she doesn't. She gets hanged. The man she's in love with comes back at the end.
