There is a young lady who is in love with a young man that doesn't look at her in that way. His family lives on or near the shore. There is a rickety pier. The uncle or brother was in love with her and asks her to marry him after she finds out the young man she was in love with was leaving or fell in love with another woman???...shipwreck men on shore try to save them...men drown. That's all I can remember...at least I hope it was a movie and not a weird dream. :?
