Title Help

Does anyone remember a 1980s (I think) mini-series set in England (19th century?) in which there is a mother with at least two daughters and a suitor who is a vicar. When the vicar asks for one daughter's hand, the elder daughter is angry because it's her turn (in her words). This wasn't the main plot of the series but was a memorable scene for me--or perhaps semi-memorable since I have no idea of the title nor other plot elements. It is not an Austen story or The Buccaneers. Thanks for any help!
