In 2012 I watched a period movie on TV about a man who is introduced to a woman from Spain by his best friend. He makes a remark that she is ugly but makes a bet that he can get her to sleep with him. The two finally meet at a costume party. They have sex many times. But he ends up marrying another woman bc of money. He thinks the Spanish woman is gone from his life for good but by chance they meet in the country and begin an affair. I forget what happens after that. But it's killing me that I don't know the name
