There is this old movie I watched, about the story of a closeted gay male physician, who fell in love with a gay poet, he met at a gay bar he used to frequent. The physician comes from a rich family, while the poet is a carefree individual. the poet does not want a relationship with the physician but the physician does. Eventually, he gets enough courage to confess to his wife of seven years or so about his sexual orientation. His wife decides to stay with him, find counseling for him, but he refuses her proposition and decides to get a divorce. Eventually, she remarries and has a son, named Rupert, in suburbia, which has been the couples dreams, however, now with another man.
