i have read this book a long time ago, a young lady whose mother die and her father becomes mentally ill, she then learns he is not her real father. she falls in love with a viscount/rake (something) but that love is forbidden because he is betrothed to her stepsister. her grandmother is the matriarch of the family and is trying to prevent this information from becoming known.
