I remember watching a film a few years ago set in England where there was a young woman who sat with a man in a mine after it collapsed (I think she was working in the mines at the time). They get rescued and he loses his leg because it was too damaged. I think she got pneumonia (or something along those lines).
I distinctly remember him sliding down banisters when they had no guests and I think he took her on as a housekeeper. He wanted her to lay with him and they argued, so he sent her out of his room and got ready for bed by himself and ended up falling and knocking things over.
Eventually they ended up together. It's been driving me mad, does anyone know what I'm on about? Google has been no help
