American film made in 1940s. Period drama late 1800-early 1900s. Coming of age film and girl meets boy. Family go on annual beach holiday. Girl sees boy while playing in surf with younger siblings-asks them to bury her in sand so she can hide from boy who is a college student. She wants her parents to allow her to wear a corset and at end of film go to college. Very sweet film.
