Okay, I have been trying to find a movie for YEARS.
There is much about it I don't remember. What I remember is it's about a young woman, I think we meet the character as a child at the beginning of the movie but the part I remember is when she accepts money to have sex with a wealthy man in order to give him a child. When she gives birth to the child, she is told to disappear from her (it's a girl) and her father's lives. Years later, she becomes the teacher of her daughter, who knows nothing about this woman being her mother. It ends with the father and the woman actually falling in love. In my memory it was a period drama.
