Title Help

I'm trying to find a film which was in the 80s or early 90s. It was set on a ranch in the 1800 or 1900s with a woman and a cowboy and they also trekk horses, I also remember there was a fire at night on the ranch and the man went out to save the horses.
The actor who played the cowboy had black hair, heavy set eyebrows and very bright blue eyes but can't remember his name, I don't think he was a famous actor but maybe a tv film actor.
Please help.
