I must have been nine years old when I saw this film, during the 90's. Two sisters were left orphaned. They move in with, I believe their aunt, who happens to be a bit unruly and poor. One sister eventually leaves to live with a family who happens to live better than their aunt. This sister begs the other sister to leave too, but she refuses. At the end of the film, the aunt and the sister who stayed with her, are holding hands and running across a bridge or train tracks. I've been searching for the title of this film for years. I strongly believe it aired on PBS.
