The title of series where girl moves in with two maiden aunts and an uncle after father dies. The older aunt was lost at sea towards end of series when going to purchase a ship or become partner in shipping company. Younger aunt had off and on relationship with doctor who fell in love with her. Young whippersnapper kind of helped uncle with daily chores. Girl always entered in diary "Dear Father on road to heaven".
