Hi i am searching for a book where a white woman had an affair with a black man. They conceived a child, but she has a white husband. She abducted a white baby and took that baby home with her so her husband doesn't get speculations. While her real child is growing up she follows every move and gives her one side of an very expensive earring she loves. The book cover has a earring on it and it is either named after the earring or after the child.
The book is NOT the girl with pearl earrings. It is a different book. If you could help me it would be much appreciated
