I saw this movie on T.V. around 1997. It was a love story set around 1940. A young couple fall in love and get married. They passionately cross the threshold only to be shocked that the husband becomes impotent. Ironically she soons catches him with a prostitute. If I remember correctly he really does love her but can't make love to her because she is "too good for him"... I think she may have then been tempted to leave him when a fun loving music man comes into the restaurant where she works........ hope I'm not combining two different movies... thanks for your help
