There is a movie that starts with a former slave that grew to love his master's daughter (I think) once he was freed he went off and build a wealthy live for himself and years later went back to his former master's home and upon learning that his master's daughter hadn't married and was well past the age for a suitable white gentleman to come calling the woman's father agreed to have his former slave marry her. She grew to be a miserable and bitter woman that would roam the house in her wheelchair terrorizing her darker children and dark children by calling out, "come here you nappy hair boy".
