I saw a film on lifetime about 5 years ago about a divorced woman who fell in love with a duke, and when they got married he lost his title. When she becomes pregnant, he has to leave to fight in WW2. These German soldiers come to the house to station there and attempt to rape her and her maid, but their leader stops them. Eventually the two became friends. The husband returns paralyzed from the legs down. I remember there being a sequel I think where the children are grown up and the storyline focuses on them more
