Watched this movie abt 20 years ag0. Details might be a bit hazy. About a young man who came from a rich family. Met and fell in love with a country girl. Took her innocence. Promised to take her with him. However, due to society pressure, he became embarrassed of her and left her waiting for him, on the day that they were supposed to leave together.
Years later, in a loveless marriage, he came back looking for her, only to find that she had passed, leaving behind a son, who looked exactly like him. Very sad story..Hope someone can enlighten me.
