I'm looking for a period drama/ film where at some point an older woman gifts a hair comb to a young girl who she accepts as her granddaughter, though I believe she is adopted in some way and is not biologically related.
The scene with the hair comb is at a dressing table, I believe, and I think that the woman had sons of her own, possibly five of them.
