This has plagued us for several years, its not any of the obvious ones like Lady Chatterleys Lover, He Knew He was Right etc...
We recall it was about an officer returning from the war, initially bed bound, but then occupying a curious wheelchair with little handles on the arms that he would wind furiously to make it move. Edwardian we think, the story centres round her devotion to him, and his jealousy, as he is obsessed with the thought she is having affairs as a result of his disability. It wasnt the greatest picture quality, so we think 1975 to 1990 ish, and my partner says the lead actor, who had quite floppy hair, was a familiar face in made for TV dramas during the 80's.
