It’s a period movie set in the 18th century I think where a gentle girl marries a violent aristocrat. He is abusive to everyone, especially his horse who ends up killing him at the end of the film by kicking him in the head. His wife thanks the horse as they have both suffered from him. Remember seeing it on TV late 2000’s but not sure when made.
