Victorian era..main character something like "Valenteen" he has an affair with a woman engaged to a Lord. An older Lady told the woman to marry the Lord for the money and prestige and keep Val as a lover.The Lady tells Val to stay the lover, so he can have the fun but none of the responsibility. The Lady then has Val speed with a teenager, so the girl is not a virgin on her wedding night, for revenge against a different Lord. Val is killed in a dule (I think) for the honor of the first Lord. On the teenager's wedding day, the girl tells the Lady she is pregnant with Val's kid.
