I watched a movie in like 2007 on hbo or showtime and it was set in maybe the 1600s I can’t remember but there’s a scene where the daughter is killed by a scorpion sting and the mother and father have really violent sex next to her funeral pyre in the desert - I also think this might have been a French or spanish movie and I can’t find it anywhere. But it’s basically about a couple who have a really toxic relationship but I can’t remember anywthing but the scorpion sting scene. Please help!
