It's a period drama set in the early 20th century or late 19th ? I can't remember if it's a series or film it starts with a woman in her 30's arriving in a new country (Australia ?) she debarks from a boat/ship (made of wood) and goes to live in a town where she doesn't know anybody but befriends a family (neighbours) and is invited to dine with them, she is a solitary person and apprehensive of her new surroundings and takes time setteling in ? I watched this at least 15 years ago. It's bugging me because on the wall in the neighbours living room there is a painting which is the same as one belonging to my Grandmother
