It’s a period movie or mini series, and it’s kind of a coming-of-age about a young girl...she was, I think, Italian or Spanish. There was an older man who was a friend of the family, some kind of uncle-type, and she had a crush on him. I remember a scene where she gets her period for the first time and thinks she’s dying, and he laughs at her. Then, years later when she’s now a young woman, they fall in love.
