2 woman give birth to baby girls in the same hospital. One woman gives birth to a mixed race child after either being raped or after a affair and is afraid of taking the child home because her husband will know shes not his. After a hospital fire the one woman dies and the other woman switches the babies taking home the other ladies white daughter. The mixed child is sent to live with the deceased womans husband and other children. She grows up with her (father) always telling her she's not his her mom cheated on him. Years later the mixed child grows up seeking the truth
