I can't remember the date setting maybe 1800's or early 1900's, its about a guy who saves a young girl from drowning, he takes her to a friends family, he is rich, his friend is a painter and they both fall in love with her, she is jewish? she later finds her brother who is dying, there is also another girl I think she plays cards gambles , I believe the rich guy family owns the hotel or casino, that particular girl has blond hair and ends up getting married to an older man who dies later, I know its not a lot of information but if someone could possibly help me, thank you.
