Title Help

I saw a movie a few years ago about a widow who fell in love with her brother in law and they wanted to get married but it was against the law - They decided to just live as husband and wife anyway and several years later when it became legal, they got married.
This may or may not have been a true story - or inspired by a true story.
For whatever reason, I started thinking about this movie again and it is killing me that I can't remember the title!!
