Title Help

I starting watching a film on UK TV channel about a year or two ago - I thought it was an old Agatha Christie film (but I've searched and can't find it - so it may not be). Set in WW2 period - a boy goes to live with his grandfather (who is quite reclusive and doesn't talk to the boy much ) in a big, old and mysterious house. The boy is quite out of place and tries to explore the house. He is very awkward around his stern grandfather. Lovely olde world type movie and house. Only say the first 25 minutes. Please help me track it down,
