Old movie( around 1940's)about a young wife who marries a rich, widower
and is promted by someone with ill will to wears, the first wife evening gown, I think it was white to a party. When the husbands sees her he gets into a rage.It is a movie similar to Rebeca and Jane Ayre. But it is neither. If I recall correctly the party was given by the husband to the people that worked for him.The movie is a period drama of the late 1800 or early 1900, not sure.The actress looked similar to Joan Fontaine; I saw it when I was A child.
