PBS or BBC miniseries probably based on book, not sure if was supposed to be set in England-Ireland-Scotland-Wales, France, Australia or if set in 18th or 19th century. Girl was very poor. Met man she was attracted to near a fence or wall. Friend of family or father owned a tavern. To earn money she would appear nude without showing her face. Local bully wanted to marry her but she didn't like him. Plot revolved around her being afraid man she loved would hate her if he knew about tavern.
