Early 2000s I saw a couple foreign film festival in st Louis at the theatre on Delmar ave the content of theses were for one a young monk returns to his father's jungle village to live with his widowed father and his new wife who people thought was a ? Only later the monk falls for her and drinking ends up he fights his father and most of the village at the end the girlputs his badly beaten body on her backs and drags him away.
The other movie takes place on a old American shipp where a whole village live in like an apartment building all the while they are cutting it apart to recycle...i forgot how this one ended.
