Period film about a maid that falls in love with her master they have some kind of affair until for some reason he loses all of he's fortune is cast out of the wealthy society and is left to live with a small income the year at a small house in a village the girl follows him there although the people of the village gossip about her and he treats her horribly and refuses to marry her even when she gets pregnant. He doesn't change his mind even when her father comes to talk to him. One day she is out to bring water in buckets when she faints and then a young man carry's her home.That makes the other guy very angry and jealous.
