Hi there, I'm looking for an old movie I saw on cable 15 years ago. The movie was black and white, made in the 1940s or 1950s, and was set in India and/or Tibet. It was an American-made movie in the English language and would be considered a grade B melodrama about a small group of Westerners interfacing socially with East Indians and/or Tibetans. I can't recall the story line too much but do remember that much of the socializing took place in a lavishly furnished palace, with gorgeous Indian paintings, statues, and textiles. Any help in finding this movie would be most appreciated!
