In the mid-2000s I saw a movie on Starz/Encore that takes place somewhere tropical (Asia, South Pacific, etc.) somewhere between the 1600s-1800s involving, I believe, British people. A man injures his back - with the old technique of stones placed on the vertebrae for healing purposes - and his wife has an affair with a bigger guy whom reminds me of Robbie Coltrane. The injured guy is somewhat healed and gets up to investigate, catching the affair, and just walks away. The bigger guy ends up committing suicide. The name of this film is bothering the hell out of me. Hope this info helps.
