I am looking for a period drama set in Canada, I think during the later 1800's to early 1900's about a fiery, passionate girl who becomes a school teacher. She later falls in love with a young man who was an older student she taught. They are both older. In one scene, the young man's mother loses a baby and this causes him to be upset at the teacher because she is busy with her class and can't give him the support he wants. He goes away for a year at least and she doesn't hear from him but continues to teach in their home town. In the end of the movie, they get married.
