I have been trying for years to find the name of a movie that I saw in the early 70's.
My memory is sketchy...
I remember there was a group of children who became "active" at night. They had dark circles around their eyes.
I think during the day they “recruited” a new person to join their group, then that night they would come and get the new recruit, blindfold him and take him to a cliff edge. Here they would stand around and call out to the new recruit and he would have to choose which voice to follow. Follow the wrong one and fall to his death.
The last scene a baby wakes in his cot and has got black rings around his eyes. (so you know he is the new recruit)
