The movie is a period piece with an old African American servant who watches over her keeper's daughter. I think there was a scene when the daughter was of courting age when the mother and daughter go on a trip, but return shortly after. The mother claims her daughter, "caught a bug", but really she is pregnant. The girl dies at the end of the film and the servant is seen beside the coffin at the end. I remember this movie aired on TV late one night in the early to mid 90's.I'm guessing it was on Hallmark or Lifetime, but maybe it was just a random movie channel.
