Mini-series - maybe from the Eighties - World War II drama of a poor family (maybe Polish?) where the parents see their sons die, one after the other. They are fleeing the war and suffer. One of the younger boys that seemingly is lost/presumed dead gets adopted by a rich man (in America?) who pays for him to study the violin. The final part of the series is where he is re-united with his parents at the convert where he is performing. Help is appreciated - thanks!
