I am looking for a love movie where a father had a son and an adopted son. Sent one of them off to boarding school. There was a girl involved. I believe the adopted boy was in love with her. The father died so the boy came home from boarding school. They both received an great deal of inheritance. The actual son was hateful to the adopted son. Jealous of him. Thought his dad loved the adopted boy more. The boy who was in love with the girl went a little crazy. Carved her name all over the place in one specific bedroom. She traveled to his house on horse back. It's been a long time since I've seen the movie so I might have some facts wrong. But it's pretty close
