Title Help

Looking for an old black and white movie. Was about 2 pianists, father and son perhaps. Ended up playing together but the eldest one couldn't continue because of an illness ( his hands started to shake badly) and he couldn't continue. Not sure but thought it was based on a true story.
I know it's vague, but it is all I can remember.
