I think I saw this movie around 2006-2010.
It's set in the 1800s. (I think) It's about a woman who marries a man and somehow she believes he dies. She has to go find work to support herself. She finds work as a seamstress or a hatmaker. She later finds out that the place where she works, doubles as a brothel. She starts working as a prostitute. Later she goes to work with an old man as a housekeeper. Afther the old man dies, she returns home and finds out her husband is still alive. The movie ends with her wirting a letter of book with her story in it.
