An older movie where an a young woman goes to care for a widowers children on his farm. I think she was an orphan/ foster child. She later falls for the man but thats not the main plot of the movie. She has a few friends that are also orphans that get adopted/fostered and one of her close guy friends hangs himself. she has a friend named sofie.
