This movie is about a girl who lives with her father and younger sister near a small wood factory. A guy called Jack works at this factory. Later, a boxing match takes place. Jack particapates in the match and gets hurt. The girl tends to him and they eventually fall in love and get married. Jack turns out to be a jealous and an abusive husband. Later in the film, the girl attends a celebration with her sister and there she meets another guy. This guy gifts her a book, they form a relationship and begin to exchange letters.
Jack discovers those letters and gets infuriated. And so his wife runs away with her lover. But she comes back to her husband when she finds out that he tried to commit suicide and is forced to live with him.
