Hi, I am looking for what probably is a BBC series, I watched it for sure in BBC 1 or BBC 2 in the 90'. There was a British woman who fell in love with a Russian man and brought him from Russia (still the USSR)to the UK to live with her. He was hopelessly homesick, drunk most of the time and did things like smoke fish in the conservatory. It was a tragicomedy, really, with these two people not knowing how to understand - let alone overcome - their cultural differences. I enjoyed it very much and would like very much to find it again.
