Looking for a movie, about a woman who finds a man that was in a ship wreck and saves him, the man is from another country and he doesn't know her language so they don't know where he is from, until one day he is playing chess with the village doctor and the doctor discovers where he is from. The man and the girl fall in love, the woman I think is hated by the villagers.
They get married and they have children, the man gets sick and I think he dies in the end.
