Title Help

I am looking for the title of a film. It centres around a brother and sister who have an uneasy relationship. There is another sister and the brother accidentally kills her in trying to kill the sister that he doesn't like. The bad sister goes to jail for the killing and gets the death penalty I believe. The brother wants to speak up and say that he was responsible for the death, but this is his sister's way of punishing him. Knowing that he will have to live with the blood of both sisters on his hands. I think the film is from the early 1950's.
