Title Help

for years ive been trying to find out the name of a movie i saw ones when i was a kid it was in black and white i can only remember a few scenes...two soldiers in a fox hole one man reading letters from his wife to the other i think the man kills the husband so he can go back to the husbands wife and he does and tells her the husband id dead i can remember the wife playing the piano i think then i just remember the end where the husband wasnt really dead and comes back home to wife and finds the man there they end up fighting...its driving me crazy can anyone help :)
