I only really remember bits but it's set back to when the first car was made and I think there's a girl that's locked away but I don't know why and at some point in the film (I think where the girl lives) she takes this man who I'm guessing rescued her to her home and it's like wood houses on water but with really tall legs instead laid on top of the water, I really need help! That all I know.
